Playground Lingo Playground Lingo

Do you and your friends use funny and original words in your school, words which just mean something to you? (Or if you are a teacher, do you know of original words used by the pupils in your school?) After the success of Kitchen Table Lingo we are now teaming up with The Times Educational Supplement to collect words used by pupils and teachers in playgrounds and school corridors up and down the nation. As with Kitchen Table Lingo we want to seek out the private languages used by young people in schools which are original and funny.

So if you have words which:

  • have been invented and are used by you and your mates at school
  • are not in the dictionary (or at least not with that meaning)
  • are used by at least three people
  • have been in use for at least one month
  • are decent and repeatable

then we would like to receive them. Just fill in the details below.
